Bonfire Studios announced on Thursday (29) that Arkheron will enter early access on November 27, 2026, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement ends a long wait: the studio founded by Blizzard veteran Rob Pardo has been working on the game for about ten years.
What is Arkheron
Arkheron is a fast-paced, isometric PvP action game in which teams of three fight their way through the Tower, collect items that shape their builds and take on rival teams. According to the studio, no two fights play out exactly alike, and the moments created as a team are the heart of the experience.
The road to early access
Bonfire says the game is still a long way from the competitive experience it wants to deliver in version 1.0. Early access will therefore serve to gather feedback, iterate alongside the community and be transparent about what is in development. Priorities cited include making the game easier to learn, fights easier to read, adding depth to the Ascension and Spires modes, and improving progression, matchmaking, performance and stability.
The game features the Ascension mode, in which 15 teams of three climb the Tower toward a final showdown, and Spires, focused on direct 3v3 battles — formats already tested in earlier betas, including a test in July, according to GamesBeat.
Until the Tower opens, the studio promises weekly announcements: the early access Eternal roster, including a new Eternal, details on the editions, ways to bring the community into the game, including a Friend Pass, and the introduction of Prologue, the start of the narrative arc, with the first Collection, quests and a live event on opening weekend. The game can already be wishlisted on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The announcement follows two other moves by the studio: the partnership with HYBE IM to publish Arkheron in South Korea and Japan, revealed the previous week, and new investments from Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund and Altos Ventures, among others.
