ArcheAge Chronicles demo arrives in Steam Next Fest on October 19

The ArcheAge Chronicles demo reaches PC on October 19 as part of Steam Next Fest in October 2026. South Korean developer XLGAMES confirmed a limited window through October 26, with early story, four classes, and the first public PvP test of the action MMORPG.

What happened?

XLGAMES will release the ArcheAge Chronicles demo on Steam from October 19 at 10 a.m. PT (2 p.m. Brasília time) until October 26 at the same hour. The slice drops players into Diamond Shores, one of Auroria’s earliest regions, with access to the start of the campaign and core combat.

Four classes are in the build: Warrior, a front-line fighter; Ranger, for ranged damage; Berserker, high-risk aggression; and Mage, elemental bursts and crowd control. For the first time in a public build, player-versus-player modes are included. Life-skill systems such as Housing and Trade are out: the company is saving the economic and social layer for Early Access.

Executive producer Ham described the pitch in a statement carried by Gematsu: the goal is a game that values exploration and cooperation as much as competition, with combat that is easy to pick up and still impactful. The store page is at ArcheAge Chronicles on Steam.

Why it matters

ArcheAge Chronicles is XLGAMES’ return to the ArcheAge universe, a Korean MMORPG known for open worlds, trade, and player conflict. The demo is the first wide look at action combat and PvP, two points that usually decide whether an MMO holds an audience after the hype.

The game is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. There is still no official release date. The Next Fest week is, according to the studio, a way to measure combat, class identity, and network stability with real feedback. Anyone who followed the Korean MMO market will recognize the name: ArcheAge built its reputation on exploration, player trade, and open conflict.

What changes in practice?

Anyone who wants to try the ArcheAge Chronicles demo has to enter the seven-day window. Outside it, the demo disappears. Housing, trade, and the deeper economy are not in this build. The focus is early story, classes, and the first public PvP.
