Analogue announced today the Analogue Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+, the return of the FPGA consoles Super Nt and Mega Sg in new versions. The devices use FPGA to accurately recreate the original Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive hardware without software emulation, and now include practical upgrades.
What's new in Analogue Super Nt+?
The Analogue Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ models gain a reworked industrial design, USB-C (for power) and USB-A ports, plus built-in wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz for controllers, eliminating the need for dongles. They also allow hot-swapping cartridges after quitting the game through the menu. Resolution remains 1080p optimized for 2D games, with zero lag and high fidelity. The Analogue Super Nt+ is the updated version for SNES.
Price and availability
The price of the Analogue Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ is $219.99 each. Preorders begin on October 19 at 8am PDT (11am ET), with shipping expected in December 2026. The original versions had been sold out for years, and these models are presented as the definitive return for 16-bit game preservation.
Why it matters?
For retro gaming fans, Analogue consoles are a reference in hardware accuracy via FPGA. The Analogue Super Nt+ covers Super Nintendo/Super Famicom, while the Mega Sg+ covers Genesis, Mega Drive, Master System and others. The addition of wireless and USB-C makes use more modern without losing authenticity.
