Amazon launches Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse: personal AI devices from $75

Amazon presented this Thursday (15) the new Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse devices, the first launches from the Bee brand since acquiring the startup in 2025. The Bee Frontier, a wrist or clip wearable, costs $74.99 and is already on sale; the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized accessory that magnetically attaches to the phone, costs $99.99 and arrives soon.

What happened?

The Bee Frontier features a lighter design with ultra-soft silicone wristband, IP67 resistance, up to 7 days of battery, USB-C charging and dual microphones with noise filtering. Available in Onyx, Lavender and Sage. The Eclipse promises more than 21 days of autonomy, four microphones and phone call capture, in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush.

Both process conversations in real time to generate summaries, insights and to-dos via a renewed mobile and desktop app. Amazon also launched the Bee Pro plan for $11.99/month, which adds Alexa+ and Amazon.com integration (shopping suggestions), unlimited memory and templates. The free tier includes 14 days of memory; new customers get 30 days of Pro free. The Bee Private Compute architecture processes audio locally without permanent storage.

Why is this important?

These gadgets consolidate Amazon's entry into the ambient AI and note-taking wearables market, competing with Plaud and similar at more accessible prices. Integration with the Alexa ecosystem and e-commerce turns everyday conversations into useful actions, such as purchase reminders.

What changes in practice?

Users can use the device so as not to miss details of meetings or informal plans, with control via button and indicator light. The focus on privacy (no raw audio storage and encryption with device keys) tries to address common concerns in this category. Available primarily in the US.
